Patrons & Ambassadors

Tonia Couch and Sarah Barrow

Thank you to Tonia and Sarah who have been strong supporters from the beginning of Hugs, often signing items for auctions, attending events, even auctioning off a chance of a lifetime to dive with them at one of our charity balls.

These two lovely ladies both took part in the Rio 2016 Olympic games and we couldnt be prouder while watching them compete. The grace and talent they both show in their diving careers is nothing short of breath taking. They are both real inspirations to everyone who watches them, their dedication to their support and performance is something to be admired.

We are so incredibly lucky to have them as our Patrons.

Leon Soulsby

Its with great excitement and thanks that we launch our first charity ambassador to the charity…. Leon Soulsby has been involved with the charity from the registration and was a major fundraiser towards Henrys appeal in 2013-2014.

Leon who is a well liked gentleman in Plymouth and the manager of Flannels , has been a keen fundraiser and has raised £1000s for various charities including Mind Charity, the Teenage Cancer trust and ourselves.

Volunteer Ambassadors help to raise awareness of our work by attending events to talk about our work and encourage others to get involved in fundraising activity. This is a really important role as it helps us to reach new people, inspire new fundraising activity, and thank our supporters for the work they are doing.

Leon Soulsby Constantino was kind enough to volunteer his support for Hugs Childrens Cancer Charity and will be continuing to help the charity grow so we can support families with childhood cancer in our area.

Leon has kindly said a few words for us to share….

“Moving back to Plymouth from London, I was introduced to the Hallam Family and met 4 year old Henry, I instantly loved his character, this was a little boy who didn’t have any negativity or sadness even though his illness was life threatening. Instead I found a little boy full of positivity and an infectious happiness that made me want to support his cause.” “The charity started off about Henry and has since grown to support other families with childhood cancer. I am a firm believer in every child needs a hug and I wanted to become an ambassador to ensure our charity voice is heard and it’s message is shared as far as possible.” We look forward to moving forward with the support of Leon… Thank you for joining us and I know we will only grow and support more people with you by our side!
